Brown Out: Deano to Return?

OUT: Brown

Phil Brown reacted with fury to his sacking today by Hull City, claiming it was due to a case of mistaken identity.

"I'm furious over this case of mistaken identity," Brown told Spraying the Rays' Beer and football correspondent Stray Photon.

"There's some other bloke called Brown who's been making himself unpopular and was expecting to lose his job sometime soon," he continued. "It was him supposed to get sacked, not me."

Meanwhile Spraying the Rays can exclusively reveal chairman Adam Pearson's shortlist of candidates to replace Brown:

David Cameron (18/1)

Nick Clegg (30/1)

Kevin Keegan (25/1)

Gabrielle Drake (40/1)

Dean Windass (evens)

Windass: in?

Next Week: David Beckham claims to have supported the Tigers "since I were a lad" as he takes the reins at the beleagured East Yorkshire club.

And to think Hull City have just missed out on nabbing Neil Warnock. Not to worry, he'll be free in a couple of weeks time.
