be still my beating heart!I was going to post an MPG video clip of
Deano's legendary goal against Wycombe Wanderers in 1994, but Blogger doesn't seem to want to let me. In the meantime let's enjoy this picture of the great man himself.

Goodness...he looks like someone you would cross the road to avoid. I see he must have spent some time inside judging by the prison-issue style shirt he has on. Has this chap had more clubs than a golfers bag as his name appears to have been in most football teams starting line-up's at one time or another?
Well really. The shirt is Hull City's famous home shirt for the 1992-94 seasons whaich has featured prominently in a number of "worst kit ever" votes. The idea of the tigerskin pattern strnking fear into the heart of our opponents was slightly undermined by the tendency of opposing fans to sing "What's New Pussycat" at us. Terrace humour, eh?
Myself, I liked it, and look very good in mine, as Bob will testify...I seem to recall us walking into a local hostelry once, inducing migraine attacks and epilepsy with me in the City shirt and Bob in his Arsenal away shirt of the same era which featured what can only be described as a bruised banana skin pattern.
As for crossing the road to avoid Mr Windass; probably a wise move.
I found this comment on a web site re: Hull's 92-94 shirt
'Did you see Hull City's (1992) tiger stripes? My eyes! My eyes!'
I can see opposition fans stumbling wretchedly out of Hull's ground now, white eyes staring blankly into the Heaven's. Do you remember school...skins v shirts..I hated being skins in mid-winter!!
